FAMILY CAMP 2010 !!!

an entire week camping at the beach with all our new friends from church!

and these people KNOW how to camp!

it was like a family reunion, but without the family drama! ha!!

michael could only come out on friday night, so it was just me and the kids for 5 days...

we all had an amazing, wonderful and exhausting time!

everyone looked out for everyone else's kids at the campsites, as well as in the water.

the kids were free to play and the mom's were free to enjoy themselves...for the most part.

we hit the beach by 9am each day, took a break for lunch

and then got right back in the ocean until dinner!!!

one very, very windy morning
i had to drag bobby's bed away from the collapsed tent side...
that's him sleeping through the whole thing!

bobby had mixed feelings about the "crab hunt"

after screaming like a banshee the first few times seeing the crabs,

he eventually wanted to hold one...a tiny one that didn't pinch.

before trying to camp on my own with the kids, i made michael take us on a trial campout...

as you can see, we arrived after sunset so we had to "pinch" the tent,
cook and eat in the dark! it was fun until the rains came as well as the giant sized centipedes!!!
